Story Tables is on a mission to bring tabletop gameplay to the broader world. We believe in the benefits of permissive play as a learning tool. By producing and facilitating team-based storytelling, we hope to provide a worthwhile vehicle to enhance creative problem solving and social skills in teens and preteens all through exciting gameplay!
Our Story
At Story Tables, we believe in the transformative power of tabletop roleplaying games for young people.

Our co-founders, Ashton and Callie MacSaylor, had a vision to create a system and world that was more accessible and engaging for children. No one learns to play football from a book, so teaching children how to play a game by example, is key to them trying new things. From our humble beginnings running tables at local schools, Story Tables has grown to offer online and in-person tables in many locations, employing other Story Guides in order to facilitate more opportunities for participation. We are proud to provide a space where young people can exercise their creativity, build social skills, and explore new worlds. We are inspired by the growth we've experienced so far and are committed to expanding our reach even further, bringing the magic of our system, Isles of Mist, to as many young people as possible.
